New Mexico State Police Investigation Closed

Albuquerque, NM – In early December 2016, a concerned citizen came to the State Police with the allegation that the handwritten contents of Steven Michael Quezada’s 2016 Declaration of Candidacy Form contained a false signature for the position of Bernalillo County commissioner.

The New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau initiated an investigation to determine if crimes were committed in regard to the handwritten contents of this form.

The investigation revealed all the handwritten contents of the candidacy form were true and correct. Based on the investigation and consultations with the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office, the allegations are unfounded and the State Police case is closed.
